CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES (04/08/2022) - A PSEFI employee prepares to record a remote training lecture video in their office in Cebu.
The Terwilliger Center is working with PSEFI to develop and curate online training courses for unskilled and semi-skilled construction services providers in the informal housing sector. The curriculum is available through Learning Management System (LMS), a digital platform and library that delivers educational courses and learning and development programs to a variety of users. It is currently being implemented at SKILLS – a technical and vocational training institute.
The session will cover the risk of potentially exacerbating the inequity in the housing ecosystem brought about by rapid urbanization and digitization. The widening digital divide where poor and low-income homes and communities have little to no access to digital solutions might accelerate and deepen if not addressed immediately in the context of rapid urbanization and digitalization in Asia-Pacific.
