Campus’ Description:

To sustain the momentum of the National Housing Summit and to further increase awareness of the housing advocacy, including highlights on collaborative efforts/partnerships’ sharing of best practices. The two-day forum will be programmed with strategic discussions and exchanges in plenary and several track sessions.

The encouraging conversations and outputs of the Urban Thinkers Campus 1 held in September 2015- that brought together about 500 stakeholders further engaged participants on relevant inputs from the National Housing Summit launched by the Joint Congressional Committee on Housing and Urban Development, as well as that of Habitat III.

“Housing at the Center” is anticipated to further engage major stakeholders, key shelter agencies and other concerned government departments and local communities- including the private sector- in the implementation framework of the New Urban Agenda- through a participative approach for the housing solutions and policy reforms for closing the affordable housing gap in the Philippines.
